It monitors around 60 major platforms — cloud infrastructure, AI APIs, payment gateways, developer tools, and consumer apps — on a single dashboard, with no account or installation required.

What IsItDown does

When something breaks mid-workflow, the usual routine is to open five status pages, check social media, and wait. IsItDown collapses that into one page. It polls official status APIs continuously, cross-references real-time user reports, and displays everything as a colour-coded grid: operational, degraded, or major outage.

The catch with official status pages is that companies are slow to admit an incident — often 10 to 30 minutes pass before one updates. IsItDown's Lag Detector combines active polling with community-submitted reports to flag disruptions before they're formally declared. The site also rewrites cryptic technical status logs into plain English, so you can act on them immediately.

The live data cache refreshes every 60 seconds. Uptime scoring records daily status per platform: fully operational days count as 100%, minor degradations as 95%, and major outages as 60%. Those daily figures are weighted and averaged across the trailing 90 days.
